Dr. Aaron Van

Aaron was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, but unlike many of his colleagues, he was very pet-deprived as a child! Nevertheless, he was drawn to animals his entire life, and despite trying other professions (including a 5-year stint as an instrumental music teacher), he ultimately found himself committed to working with animals.

After completing his Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, he worked at a busy metropolitan animal shelter for several years before eventually deciding to move to sunny Perth to complete his DVM at Murdoch University. He has worked in a variety of roles at veterinary clinics and animal shelters to pay his way through vet school.

Moving to Canada has always been a bucket list item, so he is finally here to finally fulfil it! His interests lie in animal welfare, community outreach, and pet owner education. Outside of work, you’ll find him eating his way through Toronto’s food scene, playing/watching hockey, and being disappointed by the Leafs.
