Dr. Helen Longrigg grew up with a fascination for biology and a love for animals both big and small – so it wasn't a surprise that she decided to pursue veterinary medicine. She spent her childhood in Oakville and volunteered at many small and large animal clinics as well as at the Woodbine racetrack before she was accepted into the University of Guelph. She spent 7 years there working towards her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and proudly graduated in 2014. She then lived and worked in Owen Sound for a year before moving back to Toronto, and has since been an associate veterinarian in the GTA caring for small animals.
She lives with her husband (who is also a veterinarian), her sassy orange tabby (Spanky) and her hilarious French Bulldog (Sully). Dr. Longrigg is excited to be a part of such a knowledgeable and compassionate team and looks forward to meeting all the pet parents and pets that visit Dundas West Animal Hospital.
